Filigree Foundry
Wings are delicate things! Inevitably, many a fairy or flying insect ends up at Goldie Wingwright’s workshop looking for a repair or– in the most drastic cases–a total wing replacement. The secret to her light-as-a-feather patches and prosthetic wings lies in the finest of filaments. In her rooftop moss garden, Goldie captures dawn dew drops and, through a series of rain chains, directs the precious liquid to her foundry. There she alchemically converts dew drops to the delicate precious metal wires used in her bijou metalwork.
Goldie and Glimmer have had many artistic collaborations over the years, including a show at the O’Leaffe Gallery and many public art installations. Their favorite is a memorial sculpture in the orthopodics wing at Bumblewood Hospital.
