Thicket Theatre

Thicket Theater, a venerable theatrical establishment with a flair for the tiny and dramatic, is run by siblings Lyra and Thistle. It serves as home base for the Bumblewood Thicket Players and the renowned Shakespeare in the Bark acting company. Lyra creates all the costumes, while Thistle builds the sets. The theatre is a beloved cultural hub of Bumblewood Thicket - an inclusive and inspiring space where village residents go to watch riveting plays, take acting and improv classes, and gather with friends. Running a theatre isn't easy, and Lyra and Thistle feel lucky to have Philomena Pixiedust, retired starlet and philanthropist, as a passionate and dedicated benefactor and advisor.

kelsi, jonathan, Nora & August Tjernagel

Jonathan, Kelsi, Nora, and August live together on a broad saddle of the Gallatin Mountains. Their home is just one big studio and workshop. It is often messy and always overflowing with ideas and works-in-progress. They live with an English Lab named Tig. August is a potter, kayaker, mountain biker, guitar player, singer songwriter, woodworker and a curious boy-of-all-trades. Nora is a costume designer and seamstress who has worked with Shakespeare in the Park, Verge Theater and many other local theaters and private clients. Kelsi is a writer and visual artist who makes art as a way to deeply observe, delight in, and steward place. Jonathan is a timber framer and woodworker, utilizing salvaged materials and sustainable building techniques whenever possible. They fell in love with Bumblewood Thicket a few years ago and are now second-time fairy architects. You can find Nora on her website and Kelsi on her website and instagram.
