This majestic gothic home is inhabited by Rhiannon Scawen, one of the oldest and most mysterious residents of Bumblewood Thicket. Little is known of her, although rumors run wild of a long life filled with ensorcellment and adventure. Rhiannon possesses the deep wisdom and knowledge gained from years of travel, study, and observation. After centuries brimming with what she calls “mischief and malarkey”, Rhiannon now spends her days in quiet contemplation. She is often spotted watching the stars from the rooftop observation deck. She enjoys re-reading books from her enormous collection in the light from the window. Her eyes aren’t what they used to be!
Visitors to Scawen Manor report life-altering tarot readings. Rhiannon’s ancient tarot deck has only been wrong once, and that is a story for another day!
Adelaide Rugemer, Laurie Rugemer & Owen Powell
This creative trio loves to bring fantastical worlds to life through building and crafting. Laurie and Adelaide are a mother-daughter duo who started their magical adventures 10 years ago when Laurie turned Adelaide into a rabbit at her Sweet Pea Festival magic show. Since then they’ve been taking art classes, painting, making earrings, and generally looking for creative ways to create whimsy and joy. Owen is a builder in his own right, even beyond his Lego masterpieces, and has helped bring Rhiannon’s house structure to life. When Laurie isn’t crafting, she works as a data scientist and spends as much time as she can outdoors with her family and dog, Coco. Adelaide and Owen are both seniors at BHS and runners for the BHS cross-country team. Go Hawks!
