Have you noticed the abundance of crystals in Bumblewood Thicket? Only the Pippels know the concealed location of the Crystal Cave, discovered by Piper Pippel many hundreds of years ago. Passed down through generations of Pippels, this snug cottage is now the home of Talus and Opal Pippel and their children Flicker, Finn, and baby Jasper. Talus, Flicker, and Finn collect the crystals, never more than they need, from the cave walls. They are cleaned, sorted, and sometimes ground into a fine glittery dust. The crystals are shared with villagers and used to trade with neighboring communities. While baby Jasper observes intently, Opal tends the front and helps fairies pick out just the right gem or sparkle dust for the task or occasion.
