Penelope's

Peripatetic pavilion

Penelope’s Peripatetic Pavilion is a traveling hotel for fairies in need of temporary housing, a common occurrence in Bumblewood. Since most fairy homes are extremely cozy, they have no spare room for guests, and if a fairy’s home is damaged by weather or critters, they have to move out while they renovate. In fact, Shae and Lanette Fitzwiggle recently stayed at the pavilion while finishing work on their tiny home. When traveling to a new location, proprietor Penelope engages the services of a team of pack rabbits. They carefully hop the whole operation–including the multi-faceted terrarium skylight where Penelope grows her special greens–to the next location.

steve & cedar allison-bunnell

Returning fairy architects Steve and Cedar live in Bozeman with Steve’s wife and Cedar’s mom, Jodi. They are presently staff to three cats. Steve and Cedar work at the STEAMlab at the Montana Science Center, helping visitors design and make things. They love sharing their skills and helping others develop their creativity. Outdoor photography is also a shared passion. Steve and Cedar love being able to use high-tech tools to make beautiful things that also have an artisanal charm. The pavilion frame was created with the help of the magical Glowforge Pro laser cutter, and the cupola frame was 3D printed, all at the Montana Science Center. You can find Steve on his website.
